Dos parejas se reúnen como de costumbre para pasar una velada. Queriendo romper con la monotonía habitual deciden jugar una partida de ajedrez, pero con un incentivo: aquel que gane se acostará con la mujer del otro.

Two young couples meet to spend a habitual evening together. Wanting to break the boredom they decide to play a game of chess. There is however a special incentive, the winner gets to sleep with the loser's wife.

Re-release of the trilogy "Augurio" (Omen), "Virginal" and "Vestida de fiesta" (Dressed up for a party) cut into one film by Juan Pinzás. Set in rural Galicia in the middle of the twentieth century it relates the dramas of a peasant family.
